Lunch box (0G)

This is a neat little lunch kit that holds a lot of food, and really does keep food hot or cold for hours. The bottle is also insulated and keeps liquid cold quite a while. (Mine still had ice after 6 hours.) The food box holds a liter, and the drink bottle holds a half liter.This is a complete kit that along with the food box and bottle comes with a plastic fork, knife and spoon that are about the same weight and quality as high end disposable flatware. A surprise I wasn't expecting was a small clear plastic plate that matches the flatware. The top of the bottle also has a cup. It all fits very snugly in a zippered case color matched to the set. There's a place to put a paper napkin. That and maybe a few ketchup packets is all you're going to get in there.The people who made this set are serious about leak proofing. The bottle will leak if you don't screw the cap down firmly enough. If you do screw it down firmly, nothing will leak. The food box secures with a strong clamp on each of the four sides. They prevent any possibility of leaking, but are stiff both to open and to close. Given the cap and the clamps, people who have arthritis may need to look elsewhere.This set is easy to care for. Everything is dishwasher and microwave safe. (Hint: the plate makes a dandy spatter cover.) The case is washable, but if you want to avoid washing the case, your dirty utensils will fit in the food box.I have two gripes. I wish the bottle were bigger. A half liter is not very much for me. And the adjustable shoulder strap is only long enough if you're a 5 year-old.This is a neat (literally) way to tote your lunch. Keep in mind this only provides one food compartment. But if that fits your needs, this is a compact, well insulated and absolutely leakproof way to pack a pretty substantial lunch. Five stars.Update: Spoke too soon!The base of the food box split apart after the fourth or fifth cycle through the dishwasher. It was on the top rack. The cover on the base separates from the insert. Once that happens, the clamps can't work rendering the whole thing useless. I noticed that the Amazon description reads "hand wash only" now. That's not gonna happen around here!

For $40 I expected all the items to last awhile. But the container broke and doesn't latch anymore, so I can't use it because food will spill out. The lunchbox was ok, but I didn't notice a difference as to it keeping food warm or cold for a certain amount of time. The only Item I still use is the thermos for soups and other foods that need to stay warm. I would not buy again.

We followed the instructions my daughter used it for school. She could not open it due the food not staying warm enough that caused suction in the container. It took three teachers to open it one of the broke her nail. They told her never bring it back. Now it takes space in the kitchen.

Lunch bowl does not keep food hot. I preheat and no help.

Very nice, leakproof food container. However, I cannot use this kti for my son's lunch,as the thermos leaks and I am unable to find another leak-proof drink container that will fit in the lunchbox.

but too small

This looked very cool when you get it, so disappointing in the quality. The "Leakproof" container leaks all the time, 3 out of the 4 closing handles broke already. The drink container also leaks and started building mold already where it can't be cleaned. The fork,spoon and knife are totally disposable. They will break on first use, the only thing good about this is the carrying case that you can't use because everything leaks anyway. Very disappointing item.

Doesn't keep anything warm. Don't buy this. Tried to keep breakfast warm for a 2 hours for a longer ride and it was cold. We preheated and everything. Tin foil works better than this.
