GD-R19 Remote transmitter
When I received the remote, it was a model GD-R19 instead of a model 81LM that I ordered. I was initially concerned that it might not work on my garage door opener. However, I followed the simple easy instructions to program the unit and it worked like a charm. I am very satisfied with the product I received.

It's small, inexpensive and works
It works and affordable. The key to selecting the correct one is to know the frequency of your unit. The programming light on the motor unit dictates which remote you will need. It was a breeze to program.

It'll do for now, but not happy.
This garage door remote opener has an already installed Button Cell battery installed, which is not stated in product info, nor does it state as to what size button cell battery is needed to replace it with. Do Not purchase the Energizer A23 batteries shown as purchased with the remote, like my original remotes used.I needed a replacement remote, and this is the only place I could find what I need, yet it wasn't what I expected. I have no other choice at this time to keep it.I also noticed one customer couldn't get the remote opened, nor seen how to open the remote to place a battery. I needed to use a small screwdriver in the area that has a fingernail imprint to pry it open, which I didn't need to, but that when I found it already has the Button Cell Battery in it. I haven't had a good experience with Button Cell Batteries lasting very long and need frequent replacement.I'm disappointed with the quality, lack of full product info description and question how long it will last. I'll eat the cost of A23 battery purchase, it's not worth the hassle for me to return the A23 batteries.

Dead on Arrival
The unit was dead on arrival. I could not change the battery because it was covered with a metal shield and I could not figure out how to remove that.

life saver
Could not find my old opener remote. Stores seem to only carry newer ones that would not work with my old opener. This remote came quickly, was easy to program and works like a charm. Saved me from having to buy a new garage door opener.

Works perfectly
Old chain drive Chamberlain Electro-lift garage door opener from the early1980's. Had replaced original remote cause it fell apart....with a SEARS remote and connecting base unit to operate it in the late1990's. Bought a brand new2020 Honda recently.Unfortunately, I must have discarded the SEARS remote . Remote is rather cheap plastic.But hey it works to open the door!!!

Easy to program...Great price
The kids wild dog chewed up our remote for the storage garage we rent at our townhome and they told us it'll be a $150 to replace a lost or broken remote when we rented it, thankfully this remote is exactly the same as the one that was destroyed.Easy to program...one button!
