I was raised eating rice all my life but turns out rice is effecting my health and weight gain. I've learned that wild rice is not considered grain but is actually grass. It has much more health benefits verses regular rice grain if you look it up. I'm quite pleased with this particular brand as I know it's not the same as regular rice. It has an earthy taste and scent. But it's the closest I can get to and I gotten used to it now. Personally I don't get bloated which is a plus. Wild rice tends to be firmer but I learned online to get it to soften more is to soak it over night and than cook it. It does make a difference but be careful not to over cook it or it can get mushy unless you prefer it that way. I cook the whole package at once and store 1/2 cup into zip block bags and freeze them. It freezes well and makes a huge batch from one package. Being organic is also a plus. :)

I normally make a rice blend with a Basmati or heirloom purple rice. It has been difficult to find this "wild rice" variety locally. It is a bit pricey but the cooking time and texture equal the fine flavor and color. Use this with a lighter true rice for a fine presentation. With pepper flakes,cumin, and paired with a saffron light rice, the texture shines through with full flavor. an excellent grain. Thank you for growing it. Bon' Appetit

This organic flower seed (wild rice) tastes way better than white, brown, red, or other previously tried rice. For our family, it is more nutricious and fiberous as well. Done in just 25 mins following the bag directions. Also as an added bonus, the cooking instructions for these allowed them to not stick to the bottom of my pot like other rice and other wild rice has in the past.

I liked the great nutrition of this rice, taste, and that it has no bad chemicals, but is very pricy.

We are pleasantly surprised of the value of this rice. If you’re looking for healthy side dish, this is it. As a left over dish we added some zucchini,red and yellow peppers, and a small amount of corn.. It was amazingly good. The rice goes a long way. Good value!

Amazing flavor . Was very impressed . The packet makes about 6 cups of rice so it is rather pricey but definitely worth it since store bought usually has a mixture of different rices .
