Works well except when using it on our patio door at our summer home, there wasn't any way to connect it to the glass door.

Overall a great product!! April 2016 we welcomed a sweet labradoodle puppy into our home. These bells were a part of his potty training experience from the start and it could not have been easier. We hung these on doors we intended to use. Each and every single time we went outside we would have him sit by the door, we would ring the bells and help him ring them with his paw or by having him nudge them with his nose. He was eagerly praised and we would then step outside. My husband sat with our puppy and spent about 30 minutes training him with treats only once. Within a couple of weeks our puppy was nudging the bells every time he wanted to go out. He is now an expert bell ringer and will do so when he wants to go join the kids at play or if grandpa is sitting on the patio and wants to join him. He has never scratched at our doors and I am glad as we have some nice wooden doors original to the house.Our home is a single story home about 2300 sq. ft. and we can hear the bells everywhere in the house even with doors closed but I can see how in a larger home these bells might be hard to hear. For our family this is a 5 star product!!

It looks nice and like the picture and hangs very well on my sliding door. It hangs low enough that my french bull dog puppy and any small dog can reach up and nudge it to ring the bell very easily. The real problem I see with it is the bells are very quiet so if you are on the other end of the house there is no way you will hear it. If your living space is small then it may be suitable but I have an average sized house and when I am down the hallway I do not hear her nudge the bells. I would have liked to see larger or louder sounding bells attached to this.

The item is made well and I have no issues at all with the product. It rings at a good volume. I did not receive any instructions or a tip guide in my package and that's why I gave it 3 stars. My dog has yet to actually ring the thing. She was previously house trained but had begun to have accidents in the house as she was not letting us know when she needed out. We have been faithfully trying to retrain her with the bell but I have had no luck.

My little dog learned to use these bells in a matter of days. (She's brilliant, of course). :) I highly recommend this tool to train your dogs to tell you when they need to go outside. My girl abuses them a bit and whacks at them when she just wants to head outside to sniff around, but I still love them and the communication it has opened up between my dog and our family. I also love that they can snap around a sliding glass door handle. Well made and pleasant ring sound.

In theory, this ribbon of bells should work extremely well to alert the dog owner that the dog needs to go outside. However, without any helpful tips included with them on how to train the dog, it turns out to be a miss or hit...in my case a miss. I wouldn't recommend it.

Bells were delivered quickly and there is detailed and easy to understand training manual to download. The concept is great and I'm still working on the training because my dog is still a little young to get it. My only concern is that the bells are not as loud as I had hoped. I'm sure they work well for a larger dog but my little guy can't nudge them hard enough to make a big enough sound for me to hear unless I'm in the adjoining room.

Not as loud as I expected, but probably loud enough if the house is otherwise silent (-1 star). Did not receive housebreaking guide mentioned in description (-1 more star). I expect to receive what is described.
