The Cradle Will Fall: A Novel

This is such a wonderful book. Mary Higgins Clark is a mystery writing master. This book has a fantastic plot and subplots, you WON'T be bored! Mary weaves them all together so deftly, as well. I also love that through her superb writing, you feel like you get to know the characters. You really care about them, and that truly keeps you involved in the book. I felt sorry when the book was done, I wanted it to go on! Trust me, you will really enjoy this book. I definitely will enjoy rereading this book in the future.

An infertility clinic, a genius GYN physician. Multiple women wanting to become pregnancy and a young lawyer who has a bleeding disorder are all elements of this mystery thriller. Great read an A plus for this author.

I love her books and have Bern collecting and reading them for years. So sorry she has passed, but her stories will bring joy for years to come.

I love MHC. It was sad to hear of her passing but this is my all time favorite book of hers. Katie Demaio is a widow and is trying to cope with her loneliness when she has a car accident.She sees something from her hospital window but she doesn't know if it is real or a hallucination.This book deals with infertility. The doctor is a mad genius.

I wanted to give it a five star as Mary Higgins Clark is still my favorite mystery writer, but in this book "The Cradle will Fall" the Lord's name was used more than it should have been. I still have three more of her books to read and hope that I do not find the Lord's name taken in vain again. I grew up to revere the Lord's name in any form and found that it being used in her books took away some of the enjoyment that would have been mine.

This book is one that I found VERY interesting and hard to put down once started. it was easy to know what was likely to happen at the end after reading a bit over half of the book, but getting there with all of the twists and turns kept me anxious up until the final couple of chapters. I highly recommend this book - a great read for vacation on the beach!

I'm Mrs. Clark's biggest fan! I've read all her novels and she always catches me by surprise. This is the second time I've read The Cradle will fall, and love it again and again. I was really sad when I heard of her passing. She was one of a kind.
