Q: If my cartridges are 414a, does the chip work with 414x? Or will I lose out on the high yield?

I ordered PREMIUM Toner (HE-CF258X) for MY HP M404 printer. When I went to install, I was instructed to remove the chip from my original HP cartridge, for which the included a small pair of tweezers. Worthless!. Tweezers did not work, had to use my own small pliers to remove it. Once installed the the PREMIUM cartridge failed and started dumping ink on my paper. Remove the chip from the old cartridge and put it on this new ones they will work perfect the empty sign on your computer will always show but they will print perfect

Q: Once toner is replaced, is there a way to reset the toner gauge?

I found no way to reset the toner gauge on the printer. The toner cartridges I received did not print well at all and I ended having to just spend the money on the OEM cartridges.

Did you cut the chips out of your old toners and put them in the new ones? I did and still couldn’t get them working so I returned them and bought HP cartridges that worked fine out of the box
