42 Holiday Favorites from The Swiss Colony

Very satisfied with this gifted product I gave to my husband. The taste was really good. I’d buy a few more this year but unfortunately my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer. Therefore he’s not worked in a year. I did however want to let everyone know this is a great product for anyone. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

I don't want to think about how much I spent on this 42 Holiday Favorites box because I'm pretty aware now that I could have gotten a huge Xmas holiday basket from other retailers, or made a much bigger one on my own. I had never ordered from Swiss Colony before but used to be tempted by their catalogs. So I said why not, you only live once, and I ordered it from Amazon.The best thing about ordering from Amazon is that you save money on shipping (it's free!) and you don't have to deal with the supposedly poor customer service/shipping offered by the Swiss Colony. Amazon's shipping is comparable to none and I was excited when this item arrived so quickly after I ordered it.When the box arrives, it's a little disappointing - rather than having everything artfully arranged as in a gift basket, all the products are simply tossed into a rectangular green shipping box. I could have just gone to a bunch of gourmet shops and done the same thing. No colorful or festive wrapping paper, though a few items were wrapped in bubble wrap to prevent breakage. All the items are sample-sized - the jelly jams are exactly the same size you'd get at some hotels for continental breakfast- just enough for one serving (or two, if you use it sparingly on your bread).Also, a lot of "sausages" as pictured are NOT sausages at all, but different flavored cheese spreads rolled up to look like sausages! So in fact most of the box is made up of cheese, not meat.I was also upset to find that the box is supposed to be refrigerated but it arrived with NO ice packs or cold-preserving packaging, unlike the gift basket I ordered from iGourmet, which came with two ice packs. Luckily it was in my building's mailroom for only a day before I discovered this and immediately put it in the fridge. It tastes OK, but I feel bad for anyone who didn't check the box and left it sitting around for days.To add insult to injury, I discovered that two of the chocolate tortes was completely stale - the chocolate was actually turning white. That was the last straw.I bought this once as a "novelty" item but considering the expense, the indifference with which Swiss Colony packs its products and the mediocrity of what you actually get, I would say no. My curiosity has been satisfied.

My grandfather used to have these shipped to us every Christmas when I was younger. He's gone now, but I ordered this for my family when I finally remembered the company's name, and it was just as delicious as I remember it being. Makes me think about him every time.

I felt like this was pretty expensive considering what came with it. very disappointed in it. Have given most of the cheese and meat to our dogs.

Items arrived in great shape.

Bought this for Christmas for my son's family. It arrived 2 days early and they were very pleased with it.

Been buying swiss colony for over 40 years never disappoints

Poorly handled and packaged. The Torres were amazing but the cheese wedges melted and seeped out of the packaging. I don't understand how since it's been less then 30 degrees here in maryland
