This product is exactly as described and I am so glad I purchased them. They work! I had a problem with squirrels getting on my roof, so I installed one on the front part of the roof and one on the back part. The squirrels must think they are real, especially since the head moves when the wind blows, because they no longer get on my roof. You will need to fill the inside with rocks to weigh them down so that heavy winds will not blow them over. I am pleased with this product and the price. I would highly recommend these owls to anyone who needs to scare away pesky and destructive wildlife in a humane manner.

I had a problem in my carport storage building with birds pooping all over everything in the kids toys. I put one of these out there. I want a table and the birds all went away after a few days.

Great looking Owls however the heads just don’t swivel properly They face one way and stay there.

Did not realize they moved their head every minute.I had one last year and did like the look of that one better, but happy with these.

I had high hopes that 2 owls would keep birds away from the dock but as you can see in the photo, ducks aren’t intimidated. Seagulls aren’t either. They still sit on the dock near the fake owls and poop everywhere. The owl heads do not swivel or bobble as easily as I hoped. The head portion is too heavy to rotate. Since the head stays stationary, our owls are just statues - motionless & ineffective. Bummed that these didn’t work for us.

Actually does the job of keeping birds and squirrels away. Does have a tendency to not swivel as much as desired, but definitely does the job.

I was really impressed with these two fake owls that I bought to scare European starlings from taking roost in and around my barn. They are lightweight and there is a plug on the bottom that you open up and fill with sand or gravel. I tried water (as I didn't have any sand) but quickly learned that they are not water tight. So, I filled them with gravel from my driveway. Inside the owl comes a clear plastic piece that you remove and put onto the back of the owl's head -- this is basically a sail that catches the wind, allowing the head to swivel very realistically. I placed on of the owls on a fencepost outside my barn, and the other inside to scare the heck out of these pooping starlings, and so far, they seem to be doing the job. The one on the outside, I needed to fasten to the fence post to keep it from blowing over. This is perhaps one thing I would suggest could be improved about the owl -- which would be to make it easier or more secure to mount the owl. The plastic isn't real thick and so screws don't anchor very well into it, so I used 3 fasteners around the base to do the job.

It is beautiful, and the head bobbs, making it look real. I was at wits end trying to figure out how to control the chipmunks that were tunneling our whole yard up. It is important to relocate the owl every once in a while. A real owl will not always just stand in one place. There is a clear plastic piece that fits on the back of its head that will catch the wind and give it a little movement making it more realistic.Great purchase. I am really happy. Even the rabbits have high tailed it out of our yard.

4 times a day i would have to scare birds and clean up their start of nests under the patio on the outdoor blind surface. I purchased these Owls on recommendation of a neighbour and I have not seen a bird try to nest since. It honestly is magical. I highly recommend this as a solution to bird problems. The birds \see them as a predator and stay away.
