* FIRST IMPRESSIONSI usually don’t need to wear a face mask in the winter but our bedroom is so bright in the warmer months it’s like being woken up by a car’s full beams every morning. I tried several but none came even close to the comfort of this one!The material is very nice and soft to touch. It has contoured eye cups which helps not putting pressure on your eyes (an issue I’ve had with others before!).* COMFORTThese are bar far the most comfortable sleep mask I’ve had before! The main reason for me is that I’m a side sleeper and unlike others, this mask has the adjustable buckle at the back rather than on the sides. It makes all the difference as I found that having the buckle on the side would hurt. This is the not the case with this one and well done Alaska Bear for having thought of us, side sleepers!Another thing I really like with this mask is that is has a soft strap around the ears, which you put over, not above like others. I used to have sore ears in the morning with other masks but this one is perfect!I’m not quite bald yet but I think this might also be a good alternative for bald people due to the buckle / strap that can be moved more in the neck area than on the back of the head.* BLACKOUT EFFECTIVENESSThese block the light completely when adjusted properly. It’s true from other reviews that you could see light coming in around the nose but I found that could be the case if you move at night. The way I found which helps is to tighten the strap more. I’ve not had an issue since doing that, it hasn’t changed the comfort and is completely blackout. I’ve slept until 9.30 on a Saturday today, that’s a lie-in for me these days and I’ve got to thank this mask for it.➕ Perfect for side sleepers!➕ 100% Blackout if adjusted correctly➕ Most comfortable mask I've had➖ None, love it!* CONCLUSIONI can finally sleep perfectly now and I've worn it every night since I got it about 2 weeks ago. I've never liked light while I'm trying to sleep, even the light from TV standby lights etc - not a fan. As such, I've worn an eye mask to bed from around 10 years old and I've used a multitude of different eye masks in that time (as you'd expect, I can't imagine how tatty and unhygienic a 20 odd year old eye mask would be!); this one is up there as one of the best, if not THE best.1) It's super soft2) It's adjustable and the strap is very comfortable (with other eye masks often the strap will cause ear pain after a few hours)3) It blocks out virtually all bright light, the shape of the eye cups and the thickness (but not too thick) of the material means it's like having a blackout blind attached to your face - in a good wayI've been using it for almost a month and it is holding up very well, I have needed to readjust it (tighten) once during that time which I feel is reasonable. Highly recommend this if you use an eye mask to sleep.

Alaska Bear contacted me after my previous review and asked me to handwash the mask, as they think that the current packaging system might have leaked some strong smells that were causing me eye irritation. After washing it, the mask works as expected. It is soft and comfy. I just wish they could package it in a less polluted atmosphere or provide it ready to use with a properly sealed package.Previous review: I'm not allergic to any material, that I know. But this mask causes my eyes to start itching after 2 or 3 minutes of wearing it.The short tests I did before realising it was the mask what caused the irritation, there is a small leaking of light, as it doesn't fully adjust to the nose.

Having used the really expensive masks which prematurely failed, I thought I'd try one of these. They are cheaper but comfortable to sleep in, fits well and pretty much cut out all light.

I own a few different types of sleep mask which I mainly use during the summer months with the lighter mornings. Some are thicker than this but none come close to the comfort I have from this one and it still blocks the light! It doesn’t hurt my ears if I wear it all night whereas the others all do. As someone who sleeps on their side, this mask is just so comfortable and keeps all the light out I need it to.

I have tried a handful of sleeping masks recently but this one is easily the most comfortable due to the adjustable strap and soft material. Very lightweight and has lots of clearance for your eyes underneath. Well worth the money compared to super cheap alternatives!

Item is ok, but I don’t feel it is worth the price. It is fairly comfortable, but it does slip a lot and requires regular readjustment. For me it is not full blackout, allows light in and always ends up coming off. It is a very simple design for £20 price tag.

I absolutely love this eye mask. I have not slept a single night without it since I purchased it. It fits perfectly around the eyes giving extremely blackout experience. I sleep so well with it as my room has 2 big large windows abd the blinds let a lot of light through. It's good value for money and would 100% recommend to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
