Manchester marathon changed their gel sponsor from SiS to High5 - and I was gutted.I decided to train with High5 to save having to carry 8+ gels during the marathon. Very liquid compared to SiS, and it did take a while to remember this everytime I opened one on a training run!Blackcurrant is a pleasant flavour, worked well with my carb needs and didn't cause any stomach issues.Will continue to use these as they are a lot more affordable than SiS - these companies aren't stupid when it comes to sponsoring events are they!

The product itself is quite good, always feel an immediate effect and the taste is good, on the sweet side as others have said.However, this is the second time I've purchased the mixed box of energy gels. I tend to use 2 or 3 per month which work out very well for longer runs. However, with this second box I've bought in April 2025, the expiry date caught my eye: June 2025. I checked the contents and half of the gels expire June 2025 and half expire on July 2025. 3 months to get through 20 gels will likely be more suitable for someone specifically training for long distance, not for occasional use.Checking against the first box, the expiry was March 2025, for a product purchased in May 2024 seems more reasonable. Maybe I was lucky the first time or unlucky this second time!I would bear that in mind next time when making a purchase, depending on.

Nice tasting, great value, seems to work.I like these gels because they are such good value and I don't feel guilty every time I take one. They are quite watery compared to some, but not so watery that they spill out once opened.I'm currently marathon training and I have used these throughout my training block. They keep me going when on my longer runs. I wouldn't say they provide an immediate boost, but they help to power on through the longer miles.I also find they are much more gentle on your stomach compared to some brands.

After trying multiple gels high 5 are my favourite. Taste nice, nice consistency especially compared to other brands & right amount in the tube. Other gels give me a funky belly but never had any issue with these

Use High 5 gels a lot. Berry and Citrus taste good and help with maintaining energy level. But my latest order of 20 x Berry gels came in new sleeves. The tear-away top has been redesigned to retain the tear-off strip. Nice. But the sleeve and folded seam are different, much thicker material. This makes them really difficult, and messy, especially wigh the tear-off strip flapping around, to squeeze the gel out. Not nice. Gonna have to consider an alternative unless this is modified!!
