Very nice hair straightener
The media could not be loaded. This is a great hair straightener. It is very light weight. It has a very nice digital screen. The buttons are very easy to use. It heat up very fast (as you can see in the video). My hair straightened very nicely at 370 degrees. I have thin hair so I try not to use it above 360, but this skipped 360 so I used 370. The instructions are very easy to follow if you've never used a hair straightener before.

To hot to hold
These flat irons get very hot when using and holding them. I could barely hold on to them without my hand being burned. I don’t recommend them. I had to return them.

Exterior gets too HOT!
This HAI Ceramic XL Professional Flat Iron w/XL ceramic plates looks sleek and works good!I love how the controls are easy to adjust and are located on the interior of the iron to avoid accidentally adjusting of the temp or shutting it off. The long plates enables me to straighten larger sections which consequently results in quicker straightening time. Also, the swivel cord is another nice feature that makes it easy to maneuver while straightening. However, this flat iron’s exterior casing, top & bottom, gets EXTREMELY too hot. I wouldn’t recommend using it without a heat protectant pad & glove which should have been included at the cost of $109. All in all, it’s a nice flat iron but the price imo doesn’t match the quality.

Heats up quickly
The media could not be loaded. This has a really slim profile. The grip is really comfortable. I like how small it feels. There’s nothing plasticky about it. It just feels like a good quality device when you use it. The ends do you get hot so use a glove or otherwise don’t grip it at the end. the LED screen is easy to read. Easy to use the controls.

Professional
The media could not be loaded. This is definitely a professional and salon quality hair-straightener. It works beautifully. I usually stay clear of hot-tools now for the integrity of my hair but after using this multiple times, I am so happy to have it. My hair feels incredible during and after. The plates help protect which in turn protects hair quality. It's very sleek and comfortable to hold and work with. It creates beautiful curls too which I love. Multipurpose. Overall, couldn't love it more.

Read UPDATE!!! After having solid results… iron failed 30 days post use!!?
**UPDATE: after being SO HAPPY with this flat iron.. I’ve been left out in the cold after a month of use- literally!!! I went to plug in iron like usual and it displayed code: 99… would not heat etc. but obviously had power to give me a code at all. Tried a few days later.. now the code is 62.. anyone know what this means or how to get $109 flat iron back to working..??? If not- I cant endorse with good conscience. Work so great and then- failed… WHY????As one constantly looking for that perfect flat iron that can handle the work.. I’ve found this to be a total contender! I’m surprised at its slim design yet, tool still feels completely solid in hand. Nothing cheap nor, hefty/bulky about it.Cord has ample length for reach- ideal when using with hotel travel! (I find there’s never enough outlets!) No issues with plate being loose to grab or snag.. 100% quality control.Easy to read lit LED temp. and one you definitely can see/feel distinct temp variations. I tested this at lowest, med., highest settings.. Doing so, you actually feel exterior temp of the hair iron get cooler or hotter with these adjustments. I had zero issues reaching 450° which is temp. I must use for unruly thick, curly locks that I blow dry and flat iron straight.Iron heats quickly but I do give it 2-3min. just to have solid all over heat results.. When in continued use- iron maintains temp. approx. 5-7min. before I feel a need to recalibrate.. Simply, an iron in use will lose heat in transfer. Giving a moment to regain that loss/disbursement provides a more even, all over heat in the end. For those who need hair tool longer then 10min. I bet you’ve experienced this as well… Most impressive aspect is how long this iron can maintain and also recover heat. This is where the flat iron steps up in spades..!!!At higher price point- you’re buying the quality of a hair tool meant to do its job and do it well. Hoping info helps your decision.. stay safe everyone.

Gets too hot
The straightener itself isn’t so bad. It works just like any other flat iron. However, it gets way too hot to the point where it gets uncomfortable to hold on to.

No damage
So first of all, I don't know why its called XL if its the same size as my regular flat iron BUT I forgive them because this is great! It heats up fast, and I love the exact temp screen. It's easy to use and you can feel it doesn't fry your hair. Eliminates frizz completely and leaves your mane (lol) feeling soft and looking shiny. I can definitely tell it doesnt damage your hair either cuz I haven't seen as much fallen strands as I usually do when I apply heat to it. I would definitely recommend.
