funny new characters, great continuation to the story
Ghostwater by Will Wight⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5This is the fifth book in the 𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔. These must be read in order. Continuing this review will contain spoilers if the others have not been read first. This book picks up, right where 𝑺𝒌𝒚𝒔𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒏 ended.Lindon, Yerin, and Mercy are sent to a pocket world called Ghostwater. There they’re to check on the status of it. They’re sent with two Skysworn, Bai Rou and Renfei. Once they get separated, Renfei and Lindon go into Ghostwater, and Yerin and Mercy stay with Bai Rou.Lindon gets stuck in Ghostwater when the portal is shattered. Lindon finds multiple wells that will help is advancement, and reach the level in which Suriel showed him. Lindon has to figure a way out. Along the way he has to fight to get to the way out.

10/10 Book!
The bookseries Cradle has been an incredible adventure. This book, Ghostwater, has advanced the story in magical and mystical ways, and I recommend this book to all who want a action packed adventure.

The fun continues...
Man, what a blast. After a relatively lengthy break to reread the Red Rising series, I am back in the world of Cradle, and having just as much fun as when I left it.Ghostwater is a return to form of sorts. Skysworn, while enjoyable, felt like a short lull in progression in some ways, whereas this fifth book is back on the level of Blackflame, which I think is still my top book in the series thus far. In Skysworn, we did not see Lindon advance, but in Ghostwater... well, it delivers. We see our core group of characters sent on a mission to Ghostwater, a pocket world created by Northstrider that is on the verge of collapse after the appearance of the Bleeding Phoenix. Ghostwater and its many habitats turn out to be an invaluable adventure for Lindon, Orthos, and a new character that I absolutely love, Dross. The fun continues, I'm sure, in Underlord. These books have a tendency to pick up exactly where the last one left off, and I don't feel like stopping.“The prize is an illusion. The mountain has no peak. You keep climbing and climbing until you fall off and break yourself at the bottom. Highgold is one step, Truegold is another step, but there's no end to it. You could walk forever, but every Path ends in a fall. Just make sure you have something else to keep you going. Sacred arts are not enough to live for.”

Great advancement of story and series
Another wonderful story in a series that continues to amaze and wonder me. The flow of characters and the development of the characters and world are just breathtaking. Can't wait to continue reading this series.

What a mess…
Lindon and Ortho are walking disasters. This book was a brain dump of new information, fighting, and leveling up. New enemies are made, new terrors are face but the story only inched along. So obviously the book was glorious and dripping with urgency.I wished someone had warned me I was going to be developing a strong addiction to Will Wight stories. You know like those stickers on cigarettes?

A solid entry in this series (pocket world)
I like how in each book you learn something new about the world...and our characters level up...in a way that they fight, lose, and discovery something about themselves (or others) that gives them the leg up in the next encounter. This time it was with a creature (of sorts) built by the previous ages...and left behind. Built for one purpose, but Lindon is able to open up a new world to it...and it becomes a companion. They then go on an adventure...It was a lot of fun. Not a lot truly advances the plot of the overall arc, but the leveling up...and this new companion will shape the arc of his future, no doubt...plus he's funny.

Ghostwater Review
Strong world building, character writing and a great degree of suspense combined with sharp writing. No strong dislikes and enjoy it isn't particularly pessimistic in approach. Recommend for anyone teens and up who enjoys a good fantasy novel.

Wieder sensationell, gut!

Wow!
I have been on a reading binge with the Cradle series, I just can't put the books down and wish there were a 100 more. And I have to say, this fifth book must be the best one yet. The twists and turns at the end put a massive smile on my face and I actually cheered. Will Wight thank you for this and I can recommend this to everyone looking for an epic fantasy series.

It just keeps getting better
Despite being literally dropped into danger, Lindon, Yerin and Mercy are still part of the Skysworn. But could a mission to an island in the Trackless Sea spell their doom? One of the things that really sells this series is the characters. A lot of care and attention has gone into making each of them unique and memorable in their own way. And by the end of this book most of the main characters going forward have turned up in one way or another. In fact if I have one complaint about this book its that Yerin and Mercy have relatively little to do. Yerin is possibly my favourite character in the series, so it was unfortunate seeing her side-lined.That aside everything else is what you’d expect from these books at this point. Nice action scenes, an interesting world to explore at a reasonable pace and characters finally coming into their own.Oh, and this book introduces bloopers at the end, little scenes from the book that have been changed for comedic effect. One of them references his Traveller’s Gate Trilogy but it’s not really important if you don’t get the reference in a throwaway joke.

This is one heck of a series
This has been a few glorious days reading from the last few days. I thoroughly enjoyed all myself in the time of reading. Will is a glorious mastermind and keep coming with these fantastic ideas out of no where. Looking forward to the longer series, because the end goal is no where near the completion.Peace out!
