Excellent product and thickens right away. I need this product to thicken water for my puppy who has a mega esophagus. It works extremely well to help him. Keep the water down. It does hold in your liquid for up to three hours and the refrigerator. That is a great asset.

I’ve been using Thick-It to thicken water for a family member with swallowing difficulties, and it works exactly as expected. It mixes in easily without clumping, and the consistency is smooth and easy to swallow. The taste of the water stays neutral, which is really important. It’s also very convenient to measure and use daily. Highly recommend this product for anyone managing dysphagia or similar conditions.

Recommend by heath care provider for family member who now needs pureed food. Easy to use and does not change the taste of the food. Has had meals easier to manage.

This is currently and has been for a long time the product of choice. On line it’s priced competitively or slightly lower priced than some of it’s competitors. I am able to purchase this for a couple dollars less per container locally but I like the convenience of ordering on line and having it delivered. Locally I have to make a special trip to a particular pharmacy to purchase it. Once I place a reorder on line through Amazon, I don’t have to remember to go and buy it, it just arrives.So far the product itself is the best and most economical I’ve found. It takes a while to thicken and seems to sometimes take longer than other times to thicken. Most liquids, such as coffee and milk that I know I will use a consistent amount of in the next day or two, I mix up in bottles of 46-64 ozs the night before and keep in the fridge and it saves on the frustration of waiting and watching each serving to thicken. It works well in hot or cold. Seems to work exceptionally well to thicken soup bases. I will ladle a half amount of broth into soup cup or bowl and add thickener, it thickens quite fast, then I’ll add the noodles, veggies, and meat of what ever soup I’m thickening and it’s the perfect consistency every time.However, it still seems that a large amount of thickening powder is needed for everything I thicken but I have not found a better or more economical substitute so far so I continue to reorder this product.

This product worked great to thicken liquids when my father was put on a thickened-liquid diet. It dissolves fairly rapidly, although thorough stirring is required. It does take 15-30 seconds to hit full thickness, so go easy and give it some time. If you assume it isn't thickening at first and add too much you may end up over thickening. Also, it does not add any kind of taste to the thickened product which is nice.

My be born had issue keeping his milk down. His pediatrician recommended this to add in to his milk to make it thick. It help him keep the milk down. Reduce spitting and projectile vomiting.

I use this for my mother since she has swallowing problems. we have been using it for almost a year and I recommend it.

This is really good. It works well with drinks, soups and making pop sickles. I tried them all this is the best you just need to stur it real well and add it after the fluid.
