Great concept, but...
The folding arm has some slop to it. About a sixteenth of an inch. Not exactly ideal, but useable for some photo projects. If it was tighter and not so jiggly, I was going to mount my wood grip on it. As it is, I have put a piece of tape in the joint that folds and makes it firm when it locks in the open position. The lesson here is if you need this to fold then be aware of this design flaw. This is only for space restricted camera bags. Get a dedicated non-folding unit if space is not an issue or if you aren't willing to mess with a new product.

The bracket is well made
The mount is well made, well machined and finished, I have used it mostly in a vertical position, it works perfectly for the images I publish of the Moon, birds, landscapes and sunsets.

Didn't wok with Nikon Zf
This is actually a pretty high-quality product. It feels sturdy, even hefty. The locking mechanism for the fold-out L bracket is well designed and sturdy. I thought I'd give it a try for my new Nikon Zf camera. When fastened to the bottom the side portion covers the charging port, but only a slight loosening allows the side portion to slide away from the camera, exposing the port. I could have lived with that. There was a hole in the side exactly the size of a Kirk Enterprises (? and others ?) Quick-disconnect apparatus, but the QD doesn't actually grip the L-bracket. A shame, but not a deal-killer.The L bracket attaches to the camera through a 1/4 inch screw with a fold-out "half-moon" grip, and that was my problem. The grip is very small, and I couldn't apply much torque to it. I could never get it to firmly grip the bottom of the camera. There was no danger of the camera falling off, but I didn't think it could hold the camera steady on anything but perfectly horizontal/vertical orientations, and I bought it for Milky Way work, where the camera is often at some odd angleSo I sent it back. For $18, it was worth a try, and maybe you can get it to grip more firmly, or see no need for angled implementations. I'm probably going to the RRS universal L-bracket, but at $140, it hurts.

Quite a bit of play on its hinge
The media could not be loaded. Why is my tripod lopsided, you ask? I had to compensate because there is quite a bit of play on the L-Bracket's hinge where it's supposed to give you exactly 45° of angle. It may be on 45° position but once you mount your camera on it to shoot vertically, its weight will cause the bracket to lose 8-10°. In other words, it does NOT lock on 45°

Great for vertical recording.
Easy to set.

Cumbersome to use
The material is solid, and I like the build quality. The design is poorly thought out, making it hard to use. I use this with my Nikon Z6III and struggle a bit every time.Cons1. The handle to access the screw under interferes with the groove and causes scratches when I use it (Image attached)2. The screw does not stay tight with my camera, and I have to keep tightening it often3. The base is too large, so it blocks my battery lid, so I need to uninstall the L bracket mount to access my battery (Image attached)
