These are perfect for weak hood or hatchback/tailgate struts when you need the hood, etc. to stay up. They are also VERY usesful in holding up a heavy trunk lid or hatchback while replacing worn out struts. A must-have for any DIYer that doesn't want to pay the dealer $100 in labor for a 5 minute job.

If you live in Texas you need these. You can put them in your glovebox and when your shocks don’t work, due to the extreme heat, you can keep your hood up.

These are great. I have an inbord boat with an engine cover that hinges and is held open by air struts. The struts failed long ago. I always used a broom handle to prop it open. These work well and stay in place on the rod when not in use. They are always where i need them. Just raise the hatch, move the clamp and tighten with the wing nut. The clamp will scar the prop rod when tightened, but the air struts are blown already, so who cares. This is a cheap and permanent fix.

They work great, usually only need to use one of these per hood, so you can use them on multiple cars at a time.

Unfortunately these hood lift rod That I ordered for a project are not compatible. That’s not anything against the product that was me taking a chance hoping this would work. These lift rod fill very stable And I think they would do a great job on the right project.
