Turned out worse than expected
I was hoping this nice well built kettle would be great. After using it only 3 years the button to turn it in once the temp was selected now is non functional. The design was odd that it didn’t use cups and was metric only. Beware this kettle may have a bad contact as described above Sorry I bought it now and can’t return it

Works mostly fine
This is the first electric kettle I've owned, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. My husband was skeptical at first that it would be faster/easier than the stove, but he adopted it after a week or so of me using it and hasn't looked back. I wish it were faster, of course, but I am impressed at how fast it is.A few complaints:-One bar on the readout has gone out, so there are a few numbers that aren't discernable. Not a big deal, as I'm not aiming for a specific temperature, and the feature of a changing light color gets me where I want to be.-I wish there were an option between 185 and 212, as this is where the ideal temp for brewing coffee falls and my primary usage is for heating water for pour overs. In other words, the only window that doesn't exist as a preset is exactly where I need it to be every morning.-The controls were a little confusing at first (to get it to heat and hold vs just heat and then turn off), but after using it every day for a couple of years we've got it down pat and it's not a problem at all.-The temp continues to increase significantly after the kettle is removed from the base. I'm trying to hit a window of 195-202, and if I remove the kettle from the base at 195 for a minute and then put it back, the readout will usually say 200ish. This means to get optimum temps for coffee brewing, I need to remove it from the base as soon as it says 195 or I risk it getting too hot.If I were to do it over again, I'd get a higher end gooseneck kettle, but this works well enough that I can't justify replacing it. I'm kind of surprised that it's lasted as long as it has (two or three years so far?), but I won't be said when it gives up the ghost. Except the first morning it happens and it interferes with my coffee. On that morning, I'll be PISSED.

Very good for daily use.
The kettle is wonderful, Quick to heat water, smart, a full rolling boil in just a few mins, it looks neat when the water starts boiling, very good for daily use.

Poorly designed
This product underwhelmed straight away. For starters, there are multiple plastic or silicone components that extend through the metal shell, including a sensor at the base and two connectors at the handle. There was a strong plastic smell after turning the kettle on without water in it (unintentionally). With water in the kettle, the temperature gauge seemed off as the water temp was about ten degrees over room temp when it had been sitting all day. Another odd design choice is that the handle is constantly pulling current, enough to make it warm to the touch. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it. The button for opening the lid was a bit sticky and I have doubts on its longevity. The lid also does not seem easily detachable, which could make cleaning a pain. Overall, the little design flaws add up and thus I wouldn't recommend this kettle.

has keep-warm time options but lacks preset options like Hamilton Beach's kettle **photos**
Wanted another digital electric kettle like the Hamilton Beach we've been using for our RV. This Posame brand looks very similar to the Hamilton Beach except some slight size variations (pic 01). It also heats water as fast and as well. However, this one doesn't have a fully-upright lid and the helpful presets of the Hamilton Brand that gives me heat-temp options for various drinks/meals (see pics 02-03). I actually didn't know what temperature to heat my water for tea versus for noodles. It only has 4 temperature presets but no info about what it's suitable for (i.e., tea, coffee). The box info was also confusing but the manual was helpful (pic 04). Yet this kettle's buttons are not intuitive and I found myself needing to refer back at the manual to see which button to push 1st and whether to push it quickly or push-&-hold. What Posame has that I really liked that my Hamilton Beach kettle doesn't have are the keep-warm time options. At the press of the cup-image button, you can choose between 30mins, 60mins, 90mins, and 120mins to keep your hot water at your desired preset temp (pic 05). Now we don't have to reheat the water again if someone wants some noodle soup within the next hour or so (pic 06).Moderately recommended.

Nice Features
I gave the Posame Electric Kettle 4 stars rather than 5 for only one reason. It arrived with some stains ( faint) on the stainless steel body of the kettle especially near the handle. I tried cleaning them off and I could not. This shouldn't be the case for a new product.I like the way it works and I have tried several kettles and bought some for others. In testing it with a full capacity of water (1.7 L) it took about 4 minutes to heat the water from cool to 140 degrees F. This is roughly the temperature that I can still drink comfortably. This is about the same time as any other kettles I have used. I generally only fill a kettle about 1/2 or 1/4 full when I make tea for myself and it takes just a minute or 1 1/2 minutes. A full boil takes longer, but not significantly. The features that I have never used before are setting the kettle to stop heating at a particular temperature , use of a temperature gauge, and the keep warm feature. All kettles turn off automatically when they reach a predetermined temperature, I just never knew when that was on other kettles. It stops at the temperature that you set, there are four options for this. You can also set the kettle to keep the water warm at a particular temperature.Overall, I like the way this kettle works very much. It pours well, the lid flips up easily and it is in the smaller body range of 1.7 L kettles.
