Excellent birthday gift for my boyfriend
I bought this George Foreman quesadilla machine for my boyfriend who rents a room and loves to make quesadillas.Very well-made very well packaged and works extremely well for his needs. He rents a room in a house and does not like cooking downstairs in the kitchen, so this was a perfect alternative for his needs.I recommend this highly.

George Foreman Quesadilla Maker holds up to it's reputation
I have been nothing but pleased with my quesadilla maker. It has a solid make, does not require much clean up (as the food does not stick to the pan if cleaned before the food has a chance to harden on the maker) is bigger than most quesadilla makers I have used in the past (this allows me to use more fillings, something I am a big fan of), has a beautiful red exterior that will look good in almost any kitchen, and has a lip at the edge of the maker so that if you accidentally (or subconsciously on purpose :p ) stuff too much food inside of the tortillas, the food will be caught in the lip allowing you to avoid hot and melted cheese dripping all over your counter. That being said, I did have to order this maker twice within two weeks. The first one that was sent to me has a weak part connecting the top and bottom plates and broke within the first two weeks. However, because I was so satisfied with the over-all performance and can easily tell by the weight and rich design that this was a fluke, I sent it back and had another shipped to me without a second thought.I would recommend this quesadilla maker to anybody who wishes to expand their cooking skills in the kitchen, or simply to someone who would like a quick and delicious quesadilla without the frustrating mess to clean up afterwards.

Read the Instructions-Love This Grill!
I made my own meat sandwich, as the baby would say Lol I followed the instruction manual & everything worked perfectly. Another review mentioned something a 3" diameter of fillings bc the cheese will spread. I took that advice as well. The tortillas are only 8" but that's ok. I applied the butter to them both sides & used a wet sponge for clean up. There is no on/off button. Plug it in to turn it on. Let it warm up. Unplug it when you're done. Let it cool down. Stores on its back side. This is great!

Love it
Pros:The 10-inch cooking surface is perfect for the quesadillasThe edge-sealing rings effectively prevent the filling from leaking out.The non-stick coating is truly non-stick, making it easy to clean with just a kitchen paper towel. The six pockets make it convenient to portion the quesadilla once it's ready. The cord is neatly wrapped around the base, making storage hassle-free.The quesadilla maker can be stored upright, taking up minimal space. It features a power indicator light (red) and a preheat indicator light (green).Cons:The latch on the quesadilla maker feels somewhat flimsy. The cord could be longer for more flexibility in positioning. There is no dedicated on/off switch; you simply need to plug it in and unplug it.The filling capacity is limited, so you can't go too crazy with stuffing your quesadillas.

I love this thing.
I love making my homemade chicken quesadillas. But however, this can do so much more with different fillings. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do. It heats up fast, maintains the heat level. Has a nice browning.

Very cheap construction; does not make good quesadillas; don't recommend buying (and I'm not a picky person!)
Shocked at the poor quality and workman ship of this item. We had an older, larger George Foreman grill that we only used for making quesadillas believe it or not. We sent that one off with my college son and thought we'd treat ourselves to a new quesadilla maker, since that's all we used the old GF gril for.Right out of the box, I could feel this product was cheap. The latch flopped around and the whole lid wiggled. Thought we'd give it a shot. I made a "test" quesadilla just to get the feel for how this worked, and put a tortilla, a very small handful of cheese sprinkled evenly around, then topped with the other tortilla. I latched it shut and good luck getting that latch open again without burning yourself! Note the instructions say to use a potholder to use the device. Try opening a floppy latch with a potholder...it doesn't work very well...So I figured, that's ok, we'll give it a shot with some "real" quesadillas...First time making quesadillas and I was shocked at how poorly it performed. We only added a thin layer of refried beans, a couple spoons of green chilis, and a handful of cheese, and the top wouldn't latch, which causes the "front" of the quesadilla to not brown unless you press on the maker, which then spews cheese from the sides of the maker. I'm not exaggerating...the thickness of this quesadilla was no more than 1/4" thick. So forget ever adding sliced meat to a quesadilla in this machine. I bought this one specifically because it advertised "deep-dish pockets hold all your favorite fillings" but that is completely false. The finished product was less than 1/4" thick so very dry...Then cleanup. This machine advertises "easy cleanup" which is also false. Sure, it has non-stick grills, but it also has a small space between the grills and the bottom of the maker where your cheese will flow into when it overflows. You can clean the grills with a damp cloth, but you will need to go digging into this "crevice" with a toothpick to pull out the large chunks of cheese, etc. that will seep into that space. That is not sanitary. I only used cheese, but if I used chicken or other meat, the juices would flow into that space and become a bacteria haven.Sorry George Foreman company. We LOVED our old GF grill and I'm sorry now I gave it to my son. I just ordered a new, regular GF grill, once again to use for quesadillas and I hope this works as well as our old one did. We really enjoyed the quesadillas the old grill would produce...I would not recommend this grill to anyone!BTW...the Amazon Marketplace seller, Mamancita123 is not responsible for my dissatisfaction with this product. I'm hoping they take it back and grant me a full refund, although I am having to spend $10 to ship it back to them...not happy about that since this was only a $30 product, but what can you do?
