This fragrance did not agree with my body sent. It is strong and overpowering. This is a fragrance that should be worn in the winter not in the spring and fall. Sad to say I did not like it it was a waste of money.

I'd heard a lot of reviews about Charlie Gold being such a good amber perfume. For such a great price I decided to give it a try. First...Amazon's packaging was terrible so my perfume arrived with the box totally crushed. Fortunately, the perfume bottle was undamaged and amazingly did not leak. Charlie Gold has a very vintage vibe. I detect an aldehyde quality in the opening which isn't listed in the notes. Its pretty screechy to my nose in the beginning but eventually settles down. I would call it more of a musk perfume than an amber. Performance is excellent, especially since it's an EDT. I got around 6 hours of wear before it started to fade. Its ok, just not my style. If you are looking for a classic, old school perfume, this would be a good choice.
