Great book for the non-professional investor
Great book, I’ve read the series by Mary Buffet and David Clark, very practical for a non-professional financial investor. Easy read.

5 stars but - beware
I like both Buffettology and Buffettology II as books I can go back, skim through, and find straightforward ways of examining the worth of stocks. I give it 5 stars as being excellent for steering you to good investments. But don't assume every other method and every investor is as stupid as the book claims: it will lead you to value this book's opinion alone too much.In Buffettology II, I'm sure many novice investors come away with the idea that EVERY major investor is an idiot and that through Warren-like value-investing methods you will have a tremendous advantage on the rest of the market. They also treat long-understood investing phenomena, like a long-lasting competitive advantage, as if it's only being revealed to the world through this book. For example: "...we'll let you in on one of Warren's best kept secrets. He figured out that some, but not all, companies have what he calls a "durable competitive advantage."" HE figured out? Ben Graham and Phil Fisher were writing books about it while Warren was just getting out of college. Phil Fisher's "Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits," published in 1958, goes to great length explaining the situations to look for in which a company has such an advantage.I'm glad such a thing is discussed in the book while at the same time I'm outraged the authors LIE to me to make the book look more unique and valuable. EVERY chapter includes some kind of thing like that which makes you wonder at the authors' motives. Why do they need to lie and exaggerate if they're really providing the best way for the average person to evaluate stocks without going through the whole, formal, "asset value, earnings power value, growth value" math calculations required by advanced methods as per Greenwald, et al's "Value Investing"?

The Essence Of Buffettology
The New Buffettology ( TNB )book is the nitty gritty of Buffett's knowledge. You better read The Tao of Warren Buffett first before you read this book. The TNB book goes from simple business basics into the advanced business concepts of Warren Buffett. There's no need to know the advanced Warren Buffett concepts for the Novice Buffettologist ( NB ). All NB's can get really rich by investing in the right company, at the right price, in the right quantity ( Company,Price and Quantity ). I call it the CPQ concept. The TNB can make you really rich along studying the rest of Mary Buffett and David Clark's books. It took me 6 years for this knowledge to sink in while I studied their whole set of books with desperation to learn and succeed in life. I am getting rich with these books written by Mary and David. All of Mary Buffett's books are repetitive on the basic concepts.Your home accounting and savings must be disciplined to succeed with Buffettology.Thank you Mary and David,Sincerely ,Dr. Alfredo A. I still do like this book
I still do like this book, it is very simplified which is the reason why I liked it. Didn't really expect to learn anything of great importance and don't expect to understand how to invest by reading this and maybe several other books, but still a great read in my opinion. It does take good amount of information from the Essays of Warren Buffet by Lawrence Cunningham. I would read that first or just that if you had to choose one. Both are easy reads and explain pretty much the same thing. I do not regret buying this, I have also read the Intelligent Investor (a must), The Essays of Warren Buffet, and will read Security Analysis by Graham and Dodd

Good sound advice from a quiet, honest gentleman.

Great for learning fundamentals
I've learned more from this book than from entire stock investment courses from top names in the industry. Highly recommend!

Good read - especially one chapter in the middle that goes into the details of the math that Buffet uses. However the rest is just a lot of repetitive stuff which drove me insane.

Seeking Alpha Approved
Of the somewhere around 50 books I've read on finance, this is in my top 3 recommendations, to be sure. The others are Benjamin Graham's "The Intelligent Investor", and Mary Buffett's other book on "The Interpretation of Financial statements". Mary is an easy to understand author, and she lays out the techniques that Warren uses like nobody else I've read. I know she's right, because Warren picks companies that match these criteria time and time again, and I'm making a mint on my own buying and writing about them. Today I write investment articles for Seeking Alpha, and Mary Buffett has been one of my strongest inspirations.
