The Art of Death Stranding Hardcover – February 11, 2020

Got this as a Christmas present for a close friend who is really into this game. It arrived on time and well-packaged with a protective film. My friend was very excited about it and spent a good bit of our Christmas dinner flipping through it. He particularly noted the gold edge gilding of the pages as a cool detail. He's also mentioned that he's been enjoying reading it a few times since. A good choice as a gift!

Absolutely beautiful book. It is a very hard one to find in English so don't miss your chance. So much so that when I took it to Troy Baker to sign at a con, he took the time to flip through it because he had never seen it before. It is made with so much care. Every page is a work of art and I say this as an artist and game developer myself. I own a good amount of game art books and this one does a good job of showing you not only concept art and lore but the developing process and models as well. Great job!!!

If you're even on this page, just buy it. This is just the latest of Yoji Shinkawa’s masterful works. The book is way bigger than I thought it would be. It has a lot of pages and a very high quality feel to it. Bought it as a source of inspiration to improve my drawing. It did not disappoint. Keep on keeping on!There are lots of concept art that didnt make it to the game. Im hoping some of these will make it to DS2.

The answer is, yes! This is a stunning collection of concept and final artwork for the entire game. If you own the games directors cut, some designs in the book will look very familiar as well.High detailed imagery on solid stock paper. Gilded edges also adorn the book when closed, very chiral in aesthetic. The overall size of the book took me by surprise as well. All in all this is a must own for both fans of the game and those who appreciate art as well!

The book came in good condition, I think there was only a little crumpling on the spine at the top corner on the outer cover, but it's not going to break my heart. The pages are lined with gold, so be aware that the pages may stick a little but just gently work them apart.The whole thing is like 200-210 pages of art and it's all absolutely breath taking. Seeing the concepts that didn't make it into the game but were under consideration is interesting, and seeing the true depth of the actual enemies in game is amazing. Definitely worth the money if you're interested in collector/collectible stuff for games.

Like the title says, this is the best art book for a game I've ever seen.This would make an excellent coffee table book because there's a ton of people that simply aren't going to play this amazing game, and this book really conveys a lot of the experience. At least enough to open up an excuse to talk about the game's narrative a bit.To test this comment, I basically tried flipping to any page of the book, and pretty much every/any page will have some degree of intriguing appeal to it.The one downside is that it's formfactor makes the slipcover a little bit risky. So far I've taken it off on the occasions I've flipped through. The formfactor makes for solid presentation of the art inside though. Especially the landscapes and buildings, etc.

Great item. The book arrived earlier than expected and it arrived in perfect conditions. The book is really good in terms of quality and price. The materials which the book is made of feel really good. It features a good size, and weight. The art design is really good starting from the beginning to the end, as well as from the bottom to the top of the book.
