Awesome little pump
I use this pump in conjunction with a thermo cube to circulate water in our chicken gravity water system. When outdoor temps get below 35, the thermo cube turns this pump on to circulate the water and keep the water from freezing and busting pipes. This little pump is a work horse and time/energy saver. Temps have got down to the mid teens with no issues. I would definitely purchase this pump again.

Works great for my chicken coop waterer
I have a 55 gallon rain barrel that I put a small heater inside so that the water doesn't freeze in the winter. I've attached a washing machine hose from the barrel into a 1" pvc pipe that has nipples on them that my chickens drink from. The problem is on cold days, even with the heater in the barrel, the water in the 1" pvc pipe would freeze. This pump ensures that doesn't happen.I have it plugged into a temperature sensitive outlet. I have it set to turn on at 37F and turn off at 41F. It's constantly pulling the warm water in the barrel into the pipe and back into the barrel to be heated again. We've so far gone down as low as 9F with no issues. Now this is just the first year. Will it still work flawlessly 10 years from now? Let's see.

Have a back up
Just ordered my third pump. Works great til it doesn’t.1st one burnt itself out trying to self prime and I was not around to notice.2nd one just quit. I was unplugging it at night to run a brooder heater for babies and when I plugged it back in one morning it just was dead.Only 3 months old too.***received new pump and discovered it was the plug! So I have a back up pump as long as cord holds out***3rd one otw.I’d like any suggestions for an alternative self priming pump.

Failed within the first month
The pump worked great for the first couple of weeks, and then it stopped working, you can hear it try to pump the water but it isn’t actually moving any water. In my setup, it’s only lifting about 6 feet and can’t even do that already, very disappointed. Of course I wasn’t able to get it set up right away so I can’t just return it

Great pump for a DIY hot water recirculation system
Great little pump - I have a couple in use currently for hot water circulators. I run a line from the furthest hot tap in the house back through this pump, then a check valve, then into the bottom of my hot water tank. A timer runs the pump for a minute or two every 20-30 minutes to keep the water in the line hot, resulting in nearly instant hot water at the taps. They have been running like this, circulating hot water every 20 minutes or so for several years now without a hiccup. Would not hesitate to use again.

0.5 GPM through standard 2.5x10 inch filter
When they say NOT self priming, they mean it. Zero flow if you have any full pipe bubbles in the suction line or the pump, but after you vent it, it pumps well! I'm getting 1/2 GPM flow rate with a 2.5x10 inch standard filter on the outlet. Works well for my aquarium. Very quiet, barely can tell when it is on or off, almost no sound. Make sure the pump is at a low point to allow bubble removal to get it started on flow.

Good while they last
This is a great little pump while they last. Expect to be changing these out (either pump or power cube) every 6 months with normal use.

Incredibly powerful
This is an awesome little pump! Don't let the 12 volts, and small size fool you.The 1/2--inch NPT male threads make this really versatile becauseFittings are readily available at most hardware stores. It comes with brass Fittings, O-rings, Teflon tape. And stainless steel hose clamps. Directions are simple.Since it's 12 volt DC, this would be a great circulation pump for a live well in a fishing boat.My purpose is for a circulation pump on a fluidized bed bioreactor, for my aquariums..I need additional flow to move the media further up the reactor, and. Create more turbulence. The pump is also submersible. The unit is sealed. The impeller design is really good. It's not the standard straight blade design, but curved. No doubt why its so powerful.I will definitely be purchasing several more.
