I never dreamed that these oars would be as sturdy as they are for this price. I bought them last minute with my fingers crossed and they have far exceeded my expectations. I agree with some other reviewers that the foam grips are a little awkward. I could see a taller person having issues in particular. For us, they're great and will take us many miles down the river.

I was quite pleased with this paddle due to its lightness and feel. One aspect that I would change is to lengthen the lower foam padding near the blade. I would say it needs to be at least 4 inches longer for my grip style. The other is that I think that I would be better suited with the 5 foot long paddle. That will be a future purchase. I am holding off on the sturdiness judgment until I get a few more paddling experiences in. Time will tell.

Does the trick. Good length for me canoeing. I’m 6’ . Comfortable / simple handle & overall design. Sturdy construction, replaced old one just like it nicely. Not much to it. It works, no problems. Good price, swift delivery. Will buy another if it needs replacing - but don’t think that’ll happen anytime soon. A👌

Bought 2 of these cause they were cheaper thinking I would lose them doing a white water canoe race… however they smashed rocks tree branches and survived other than a few scratches and nicks. Not the best paddle but For the price very impressive
